Your Bennetts End team continues to work hard to improve the area. We have been working on roads and parking, in particular with many roads being resurfaced, including a large section of Barnacres Road, and an additional 55 parking spaces have been created in Bennetts End as part of the Verge Hardening Project. This includes 36 in “the Candlefields” and 11 in Stonelea Road which has provided much-needed parking in these areas.
We have succeeded in getting a new playground at Coronation Fields as well as a new community orchard in Leys Road. More fruit trees will be added in the Spring.
We were also pleased to arrange a visit to the local Mosque for Group Captain Burns, the Commanding Officer of our nearest military base, RAF Halton.
