Councillor Julie Banks is proud to serve as Borough Councillor for Grovehill, representing residents on Dacorum Borough Council since she was first elected in 2015.
A long-standing local resident, Julie lives and works in the area and is well known across the community. Many residents will recognise her as the manager of the Grovehill Community Centre, where she has played a central role in supporting local activities and bringing people together.
Julie is passionate about standing up for Grovehill and takes a hands-on, approachable approach to her role. She is always willing to help residents with their concerns and is easily contactable, ensuring that local issues are dealt with quickly and effectively. Her strong local presence means she is well placed to keep a close eye on key areas such as Henry Wells Square and the wider neighbourhood.
As a mother of two, Julie understands the importance of issues such as road safety, childcare, and creating a safe environment for families. She is also well known among many of Grovehill’s older residents and is committed to supporting them with the issues that matter most.
Alongside her community work, Julie contributes to Council decision-making through her roles on committees including Housing and Community and Strategic Planning, helping to ensure that residents’ voices are heard on key local issues.
