Only a year into Labour’s time in government, the consequences are already hitting households hard. Inflation is rising again, pushing up prices in shops and squeezing family budgets. Unemployment is on the rise, with businesses facing uncertainty and job creation stalling. Meanwhile, national debt is ballooning as Labour reaches for the taxpayer’s wallet to fund more reckless spending.
This is not the change people voted for, it’s change for the worse.
After years of hard-won economic stability and falling inflation under the Conservatives, Labour is undoing progress at alarming speed. Their policies risk taking us back to the same old cycle: borrow, tax, waste, repeat.
Councillor Andrew Williams MBE, Conservative Group Leader at Dacorum Borough Council, said:
“People in Hemel are already feeling the impact of Labour’s economic mismanagement. Prices are rising, job security is falling, and confidence is draining away. Your Conservative Councillors are doing everything we can locally to support our residents, but we need a government that understands how to grow the economy, not one that puts ideology before common sense".
We are challenging David Taylor to stand up for his constituents
Hemel Conservatives will battle to ensure that Labour MP David Taylor stands up to his own party in Westminster and challenges the Labour Government on behalf of you, the residents of Hemel. His job is to serve his constituents, and that means holding his party to account when their policies risk making life harder for families, workers, and businesses here in our town.
Residents of Hemel deserve better. We need a government that backs business, controls spending, and puts working families first.
Only the Conservatives have a proven record of doing just that.
