Hemel Conservatives are calling on the Liberal Democrat–run Council to reinstate the Sports Pavilion at Spring Fields in Gadebridge, which was recently lost to fire.
Following conversations with residents and local sports users, it is clear the pavilion was a valued part of the community. Local Conservative campaigners, led by Conservative Borough Councillor for Gadebridge Heather Pound, are now urging the Council to commit to restoring this important facility so that local people can once again benefit from it.
Sports facilities like the Spring Fields Pavilion play a vital role in bringing communities together. They provide a space for local teams, young people and families to take part in healthy activities, build friendships and strengthen community spirit. Losing such a hub is a significant blow for Gadebridge, and residents have been clear that they want to see it replaced.
Councillor Heather Pound said “The pavilion at Spring Fields was an important community asset used by local sports teams, families and young people. Residents have told us how much they valued it and how important it is that the facility is reinstated. We are calling on the Liberal Democrat led Dacorum Borough Council to listen to residents and commit to rebuilding the pavilion so sport and community life can thrive once again in Gadebridge".
Hemel Conservatives are gathering residents’ views to strengthen the campaign and ensure the Council understands the strength of feeling locally.
